Domaine Evremond Classic Cuvée – First Edition Crafted under the expert guidance of Champagne Taittinger’s esteemed Chef de Cave, Alexandre Ponnavoy, the First Edition of Domaine Evremond Classic Cuvée marks a significant milestone in English sparkling wine. This elegant blend consists of 55% Pinot Noir, 35% Chardonnay, and 10% Pinot Meunier, with a balanced dosage of 7g/L. The base wine comes predominantly from the 2020 vintage (80%), complemented by reserve wines from 2019 (20%). While the initial blend showcases these proportions, future editions will feature a gradually increasing share of Chardonnay as new vineyard plots reach optimal maturity. The long-term goal is to produce 300,000 bottles annually. For this inaugural release, approximately 100,000 bottles will be available. The journey to the First Edition began in 2015 with the project's inception, followed by the first vineyard plantings in 2017. After a modest harvest in 2019, the 2020 vintage delivered a more generous yield. The wine was blended and bottled in spring 2021, then aged gracefully on lees for over three years. Disgorgement occurred at the end of August, with the official release set for spring 2025.

Founded by lifelong friends Pierre-Emmanuel Taittinger, former president of Champagne Taittinger, and Master of Wine Patrick McGrath, the estate is a testament to their shared vision of producing world-class English sparkling wine. The estate is named in honor of Charles de Saint-Évremond, a French poet and nobleman exiled to England during the reign of Charles II, widely regarded as the first ambassador of champagne in the country. Spanning 125 hectares, including 60 hectares of meticulously planted vineyards and a cutting-edge winery, Domaine Evremond brings their dream to life—combining French winemaking heritage with the unique terroir of the English countryside.
