Diplomatico Planas is the replacement for their Diplomatico Blanco white rum in their range. It is made exactly the same way but is now 47% ABV. Due to Venezuelan law, rum cannot be bottled until it has aged a minimum of two years. However in this case some of the rums are aged for up to six years. This blend is then charcoal filtered up to six times removing all the colour and creating a clear and refined white rum. Smooth, perfect for mixing into a mojito or daiquiri, a very unique white rum.

On the nose this stars as sweet like marshmallows and barley sugar and then over time becomes buttery with hints of mint. On the palate the white rum gives barley sugar and then candied citrus zest and sherbert lemons rounding up to a short and sweet finish with a burst of marshmallow with soft spices.
