DeMorgenzon’s Reserve Chenin Blanc is sourced from low-yielding vines planted in 1972 on decomposed granite soils. It displays layered aromas of ripe peach, apricot, and floral notes, with subtle hints of toasted almond and vanilla. On the palate, creamy texture and vibrant acidity combine with pear, honeyed citrus, and Golden Delicious apple, all supported by seamlessly integrated oak and a touch of flint and smokiness. The finish is long, lingering, and refined.

Vineyard & Terroir
Stellenbosch vineyards with old vines in decomposed granite soils, producing concentrated flavours and natural balance.

Winemaking
Handpicked fruit was gently pressed whole bunch and fermented naturally in French oak barrels (20% new) with indigenous yeasts. Partial malolactic fermentation was carried out, and the wine aged on its lees for 10 months without stirring to preserve texture and freshness.

Tasting Notes
Ripe stone fruit, honeyed citrus, flinty nuances, creamy yet vibrant, with a long, balanced finish.
