De Bortoli ‘Old Boys’ 21-Year-Old Tawny is a luscious, mature fortified wine crafted from Grenache, Shiraz, and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes left on the vine until sweet and intensely flavoured. Aged for an average of 21 years in oak barrels, it reveals deep complexity and harmony. The palate unfolds layers of dark raisin fruit, roasted nuts, malt, mocha, and caramel, supported by a velvety texture and beautifully integrated sweetness. Production

Grapes are allowed to hang on the vine until they reach an exceptional level of sweetness and concentration. After partial fermentation, the wine is fortified to preserve its natural richness and sweetness before being transferred to small and large oak casks. Over an average of 21 years in barrel, the wine slowly matures, developing its signature depth, complexity, and smoothness.

Tasting notes

Deep amber in colour with mahogany hues, this Tawny exudes aromas of raisins, dried figs, walnuts, and toffee. The palate is rich and layered, combining flavours of malt, mocha, and caramel with finely balanced sweetness and a lingering, warming finish.
