Dagaz Kolwe Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon is a concentrated, terroir-driven Cabernet Sauvignon from Colchagua Valley, grown on granite-rich soils that impart a striking mineral thread to ripe black-fruited power. Sourced from the Pumanque site near the Pacific, the wine combines freshness, energy and structural precision with a long, vibrant finish.

Viña Dagaz is a Chilean estate focused on expressing site specificity and freshness from coastal-influenced vineyards, producing wines that balance ripe fruit, mineral clarity and elegant oak integration.

Production

Grapes are hand-harvested from the Pumanque vineyard, located 34 km from the Pacific at 238 m.a.s.l., planted on deep, permeable granite soils with abundant quartz stones. Winemaking begins with a 7-day cold soak at 8°C, followed by gentle fermentation. The wine spends 6 months in second- and third-use French oak barrels, then 12 months in untoasted 2,500-litre French oak casks to preserve freshness while gaining subtle structural complexity. Vegetarian and vegan friendly. Closure: cork.

Tasting notes

Intense, deep ruby in colour. The nose is complex with red fruits and spicy notes layered over pronounced mineral and graphite character from the granite soils. The palate is elegant and energetic, with good structure, lively acidity, juicy fruit and fine tannins, finishing long and vibrant.

Perfect with chateaubriand, bone-in prime rib, roast lamb, grilled king oyster mushrooms and strong hard cheeses.
