Croft Pink is a soft and approachable style of Port designed to showcase the vibrant fruit character of the Douro Valley while maintaining a delicate pink colour and a crisp, light finish. Winemaker David Guimaraens and the Croft team developed a method that handles red Port grapes similarly to non-wooded white wines, extracting just enough colour from the skins without drawing out the intense tannins. Cold settling and temperature-controlled fermentation preserve freshness and highlight the natural fruit flavours.

Croft has been crafting distinctive Ports in the Douro Valley for generations, blending tradition with innovation to create wines that express the region’s rich terroir and unique grape varieties.

Production

Red Port grapes are gently processed to limit tannin extraction while maintaining the characteristic fruit intensity. Cold settling prior to fermentation, followed by cool, controlled fermentation, produces a fresh and vibrant wine that captures the aromatic and flavour profile of the fruit.

Tasting Notes

Croft Pink displays attractive floral aromas complemented by pungent raspberry fruit notes. The palate is abundant with ripe cherry and raspberry flavours, enhanced by subtle hints of honey and grapefruit, making it lively and refreshing.

Best served chilled over ice with a spritz of tonic water or lemonade. Croft Pink is also ideal for cocktails, offering a versatile and approachable way to enjoy Port throughout the year.
