The wine is fermented in stainless steel with minimal lees contact, preserving its zesty character and purity.

Citizen Wine is a sustainability-focused label known for its bold, organic wines and cheeky storytelling. The Cluster Flock range celebrates biodiversity and low-intervention winemaking, with a nod to the wild sheep that once roamed the vineyard and “accidentally” reduced yields—resulting in a more concentrated wine.

Production

Machine-harvested grapes from young vines are fermented in stainless steel tanks. Limited lees work adds subtle texture while maintaining a clean, fruit-forward profile. No oak is used, allowing the varietal’s natural vibrancy to shine.

Tasting notes

Pale straw in colour. Aromas of elderflower, lime zest, gooseberry, and green grass leap from the glass. The palate is bright and dry, with vivid citrus, hints of stone fruit, and a refreshing oceanic lift. Crisp acidity and a clean finish make it a classic Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc.
