The Gremillet estate was founded by Jean-Michel Gremillet in 1979 and is situated in the southern reaches of the Aube, near Troyes, where the vineyards achieve greater ripeness and produce a richer, more characterful style of Champagne. The Ambassadeur Brut is Gremillet's flagship non-vintage cuvee, presented here in a magnum for those occasions that demand something truly special.

Vineyard and Production.

Only the first, lightest pressings are used, as is customary for fine Champagne. A classic slow second fermentation in bottle is followed by ageing on the lees for at least 22 months before disgorgement and release. The southern Troyes vineyards contribute the characteristic baked biscuit flavours and toasty yeast overtones that define this cuvee.

Tasting Notes.

Fresh floral aromas combine with characteristic sweet brioche overtones, balanced by peach skin and baked biscuit flavours with a crisp citrus finish.

An excellent aperitif served well chilled, and equally well suited to light nibbles, salads and simple fish dishes. A natural choice for celebrations and gatherings.
