Vinos Más Buscados was founded by Masters of Wine Fergal Tynan and Giles Cooke, driven by a passion for uncovering Spain’s lesser-known winemaking regions, growers, and traditions. Their mission was to find quality wines whose stories had yet to be told, resulting in a range that represents Spain’s hidden treasures. Each wine combines character, authenticity, and great value, reflecting the unique terroirs of the country.

Viticulture

This wine is produced in a modern, fruit-driven style that captures the vibrant spirit of contemporary Spain. It is crafted from Tempranillo and Syrah vines aged between three and forty years, planted on a variety of soils including loam, clay, chalk, and sand. The vineyards are carefully monitored to ensure the grapes are harvested at optimal ripeness, providing concentrated, balanced fruit flavours.

Winemaking

Low-yielding vineyards and ripe fruit are selected to create a wine suitable for any occasion. After hand harvesting, the grapes undergo a two-day maceration, followed by a fourteen-day fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. Cold stabilisation is applied before the wine is bottled to order, ensuring freshness, vibrancy, and purity of expression.

Tasting Note

The wine shows a ruby colour with dark purple at the centre. The nose is aromatic, offering notes of liquorice, dark fruits, and hints of litchi. The palate is intense, supple, and medium-bodied, finishing long and rounded with balanced structure.

Food Matching

Pairs beautifully with Spanish and hearty dishes such as chorizo with broad beans, spaghetti Bolognese, toad in the hole, and steak frites.
