Casal Mendes Vinho Verde NV from Bacalhôa (formerly Aliança) is a classic white wine from Portugal’s northern Vinho Verde region, made from indigenous grape varieties. Fresh, lively, and slightly off-dry, it captures the bright character of this iconic Portuguese style.

Production
Grapes are harvested from two carefully selected vineyards, focusing on key varieties of the Vinho Verde region. The fruit is gently pressed using a pneumatic press, and the must is fermented in stainless steel at 16°C for seven days, preserving freshness and delicate aromatics.

Tasting notes
This wine shows delicate citrus aromas, leading to a soft, rounded palate with a subtle off-dry edge and light spritz. Flavours of apple and floral notes are complemented by soft tropical hints and crisp, refreshing acidity on the finish.
