Casal Mendes Rosé NV from Bacalhôa (formerly Aliança) is a classic Portuguese rosé, perfect for serving well chilled. Light, refreshing, and fruity, it captures the charm of Portugal’s central and southern vineyards.

Production
Grapes are sourced from selected growers working moderately old vines in clay and sandy soils. The fruit is briefly macerated on the skins to extract delicate colour, then gently pressed pneumatically. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel vats at a controlled 16°C, followed by brief cold stabilisation in tank before bottling, ensuring freshness and youthful vibrancy.

Tasting notes
This rosé offers aromas of fresh strawberries and raspberries. The palate is soft and fruity, with a gentle spritz, balanced acidity, and a touch of sweetness on the finish.
