Rather than chasing the pale, delicate style of Provence, Boutinot has crafted a rose with real flavour and texture, selecting Grenache Noir for body, Cinsault for freshness, and a touch of Syrah for spice. Vineyard and Production

Grapes are sourced from carefully selected plots across the Cotes du Rhone, combining the ripeness and aroma of southern plots with the freshness found in northern villages of the Southern Rhone valley. The wine is made using the rose de presse method, with very gentle pressing to extract maximum aroma and flavour with the least amount of tannins. Both pressing and vinification take place at cool temperatures in stainless steel vats to preserve delicate aromas, flavours, and colour. HVE3 sustainable certification. Winemaker: Eric Monin.

Tasting Notes

Classic salmon pink in the glass, with delicate perfumed aromas of rosehip syrup, wild berry blossoms, and cherries on the nose. Full-flavoured, ripe, and beautifully balanced, with elegant, textured berry fruit on the palate and a twist of raspberry freshness to lift the finish. Deliciously balanced and moreish.

A genuinely versatile rose, equally at home with a simple charcuterie plate or grilled salmon and prawns as it is with more complex dishes such as bouillabaisse, Red Thai chicken curry, a spicy bean tagine, or a mushroom and aubergine lasagne.
