Boutinot South Africa is dedicated to capturing the authentic essence of South African vineyards, producing wines that combine quality, value, and a true sense of place from some of the Cape's most exciting regions.

Production

Grapes are sourced from selected vineyards on Swartland's granite-rich alluvial soils, which produce low-yield, highly concentrated berries. The fruit is hand-picked and naturally fermented in stainless steel tanks. About 30% of the grapes are whole bunch and 70% whole berry fermented to enhance structure and complexity. Daily pump-overs guide fermentation, followed by malolactic fermentation in tank. A small portion (15%) is matured for several months in older 300-litre barrels to add subtle depth.

The wine is warm and inviting on the nose, with ripe redcurrant, raspberry, and a hint of spice. On the palate, it is juicy and approachable, featuring gentle red berry fruit balanced by fresh acidity and a rounded, supple finish.
