Hannibal is a thoughtfully crafted red blend from Bouchard Finlayson, inspired by the classic structure and elegance of Italian varieties. Complex yet approachable, this wine showcases a sophisticated interplay of fruit, spice, and earth.

Vineyard & Terroir
Sourced from premium vineyards in the Hemel-en-Aarde Valley, the grapes benefit from cool-climate conditions, well-drained soils, and careful vineyard management, producing concentrated, ripe fruit with natural balance.

Winemaking
The blend combines Sangiovese, Nebbiolo, Barbera, Shiraz, Pinot Noir, and Mourvèdre, with each variety fermented and matured separately in small French oak barrels. Malolactic fermentation softens the acidity, and careful blending after maturation results in a wine of elegance, structure, and fine tannins.

Tasting Notes
Deep ruby in colour, Hannibal offers aromas of dried violet, earthy forest floor, and iron-oxide. The palate is structured and meaty, with vibrant red and dark berry fruit, firm tannins, and a weighty yet refined texture. Long, focused, and memorable, it leaves a lasting impression with elegant length.
