Meet the producer
Bodega Garzón is a family-owned estate in Maldonado, southern Uruguay, recognised for pioneering premium Uruguayan wines. Owner Alejandro Bulgheroni and consultant winemaker Alberto Antonini carefully manage 1,150 vineyard blocks across rolling hills near the Atlantic coast. Sustainability, minimal intervention, and precise vineyard selection are hallmarks of the estate, which has earned accolades including Wine Enthusiast’s ‘New World Winery of the Year’ and LEED certification for its sustainable facilities.

Vineyard
The grapes are sourced from hillside blocks 11 miles from the Atlantic Ocean, benefiting from cooling ocean breezes, well-draining granitic soils, and a patchwork of microclimates. Careful canopy management and hand-harvesting ensure optimum ripeness and expressive fruit.

Winemaking
Hand-picked grapes were gently pressed by gravity and fermented in stainless steel tanks for two weeks at controlled temperatures to preserve fresh aromas. The wine then spent 3–6 months on lees in stainless steel before bottling, giving it texture and depth while retaining its crisp freshness.
