Viticulture

The Verdelho grapes are sourced from carefully tended vineyards on the steep slopes of Madeira. Vines are exposed to the island’s volcanic soils and Atlantic winds, which help develop the variety’s characteristic freshness and intensity.

Winemaking

Following hand harvesting, the grapes are fermented slowly to preserve aromatic purity. The wine undergoes oxidative ageing in oak casks for 10 years, allowing the development of complex flavours and a rounded, smooth texture.

Tasting Note

Golden amber in colour, the 10 Year Old Verdelho opens with vibrant aromas of orange peel, dried apricot, honey, and subtle spice. On the palate, it is lively and fresh, with bright citrus notes balanced by toasted nuts, caramel, and a hint of minerality. The finish is long, elegant, and slightly warming, showcasing the wine’s age and finesse.
