Beronia Reserva is a contemporary Rioja crafted from old-vine grapes, offering elegance, depth and irresistible complexity. Predominantly Tempranillo with subtle contributions of Graciano and Mazuelo, the wine displays a harmonious structure and rich character. Hand-harvested at optimal ripeness, the grapes undergo slow, controlled fermentation to extract colour, aroma and texture. The wine is then matured for 18 months in a combination of French and American oak barrels, followed by an additional 18 months of bottle ageing, resulting in a smooth, refined wine with layered complexity and a balanced, persistent finish.

Meet the Producer

Beronia has been producing Rioja wines for decades, renowned for blending traditional winemaking methods with modern techniques. The winery focuses on selecting the finest grapes and creating wines that reflect the richness of the Rioja terroir.

Production

Grapes are carefully hand-picked and sorted to ensure only the best fruit is used. Fermentation is slow and controlled, followed by oak ageing in French and American barrels for 18 months. Subsequent bottle ageing allows flavours to integrate fully, producing a polished, harmonious wine.

Tasting Notes

Deep cherry-red in colour, the nose shows ripe black fruits and sweet cinnamon spice. The palate is smooth and refined, with soft tannins, a lush black fruit core, and subtle notes of cacao, roasted hazelnut and a hint of pepper, culminating in an elegant, long finish.
