Bella Modella is a thoroughly contemporary winery, crafting fine yet affordable still wines and Prosecco. Their Modella Prosecco captures modern Italian style – beautifully presented and delightfully fresh, with a frothy, fruit-filled character that makes it the epitome of today’s Prosecco.

Viticulture

The vineyards lie in the northern part of Chieti province, at the foot of the Maiella massif. Soils are predominantly clay, and the area benefits from annual rainfall of 700–900 mm. A hot climate, combined with strong day–night temperature variation and frequent breezes, creates perfect conditions for healthy, flavourful grapes.

Winemaking

The grapes are harvested by hand, then gently pressed to preserve purity. Fermentation with selected yeasts takes place at cool, controlled temperatures below 20°C in stainless steel tanks. The wine is cold-stabilised and bottled under pressure using an isobaric filler to retain its lively sparkle.

Tasting profile

A light and vibrant Prosecco, with zesty citrus and crisp green apple aromas. Refreshing and delicately frothy, it’s a wine to be enjoyed for its clean, modern character.

Food pairings

Perfect as an aperitif, with starters, risottos, or seafood-based first courses. It also pairs beautifully with fresh cheeses, vegetables, and white meats.
