Bearface Wilderness Series 02 Mitlenatch Island Canadian Whisky is an adventurous, small-batch release crafted in the wilderness of British Columbia. Built on a foundation of triple-distilled Canadian single grain whisky, this bold expression undergoes an innovative elemental aging process, finished in oak casks seasoned with wild botanicals and sea kelp gathered from the shores of Mitlenatch Island. Non-chill filtered and bottled at natural colour, it delivers a complex, coastally inspired profile that pairs exceptionally well with wild smoked salmon, dark chocolate, or artisan cheeses.

The aromatic profile opens with a captivating bouquet of sweet clover honey, toasted oak, and zesty lemon oil, balanced by top notes of salty sea breeze, dried pine needles, and subtle herbal flora. On the palate, this Canadian whisky presents a smooth, oily texture that coats the mouth with sweet flavours of vanilla bean, caramelised pear, and toasted grain, layered over intriguing undertones of umami, sea salt, and gentle wood spice. The tasting experience finishes long, crisp, and refreshing, leaving a lingering, sophisticated trail of sweet malt, coastal salinity, and refined oak.

Hailing from the Bearface Whisky company in British Columbia, Canada, this forward-thinking producer is celebrated for redefining northern whisky making through outdoor, elemental maturation. By exposing hand-selected oak casks to the extreme temperature fluctuations of the Canadian wilderness, the whisky absorbs unprecedented depth and character from the wood. Through combining raw wilderness aging with local botanical finishes, Bearface delivers a distinctive Canadian whisky celebrating authentic coastal provenance and creative innovation.
