The Avamposti Altrove Nebbiolo is an elegant, approachable red from Monferrato DOC, crafted from a single estate vineyard at Tenuta Il Cascinone. Early-drinking yet expressive, it highlights the signature floral, plum, and berry notes of Nebbiolo while remaining supple and versatile for a variety of dishes.

Meet the Producer

Azienda Agricola Il Cascinone, acquired by leading Piemonte producer Araldica in 1999, is an exceptional estate in the Monferrato hills. The winery combines traditional Nebbiolo winemaking with careful vineyard management to create expressive, high-quality single-vineyard wines.

Production

The Nebbiolo vines were planted in 2005 on a steep, south-facing slope of the south-east corner of the ‘Soliti’ plot, covering less than 1 hectare. After harvesting, grapes undergo 15–16 days maceration on skins in stainless steel, followed by up to two years ageing in oak, 75% in botti and 25% in barriques (not new), to develop structure and subtle complexity.

Tasting Notes

Aromatic with light floral notes, plum, and red berry, complemented by savoury undertones. The palate is juicy, featuring ripe damson and black cherry, supple tannins, and a lightly spicy finish.

Food Pairing

Pairs beautifully with steak, roasted vegetables, and tomato-based pasta dishes. Also a great match for antipasti or hearty risottos.
