Founded in 1904 in Marlenheim, at the gateway to the Alsace Wine Route, Arthur Metz is one of the region’s leading producers. The Cuvée Michel Léon range pays tribute to the estate’s founders and embodies Alsace’s tradition of crafting elegant, varietal wines that express purity, balance, and regional character.

Production

Grapes are hand-harvested from select vineyard parcels across Alsace, where clay-limestone and marl soils provide ideal conditions for Gewurztraminer. After gentle pressing, the juice is fermented at controlled temperatures in stainless steel tanks to preserve aromatic intensity and freshness. The wine is matured on fine lees before bottling to enhance texture and depth.

Brilliant golden-yellow in colour, this Gewurztraminer opens with an intense bouquet of rose petals, lychee, exotic fruits, and delicate spices. The palate is rich and full-bodied, with luscious tropical fruit flavours balanced by a refreshing acidity. The finish is long and elegant, leaving notes of honey, ginger, and white flowers.
