Vineyard and Production

Cabernet Franc and Malbec grapes are hand-picked from vineyards in Franschhoek and Paarl. Fermentation is carried out naturally using whole bunches and whole berries with no crushing, and minimal intervention throughout to emphasise terroir. The wine is then aged for 20 months in a combination of new and seasoned French and Austrian oak barrels to develop depth, complexity, and a well-integrated structure.

Tasting Notes

Ripe and expressive on the nose, with aromas of cherry, wild plum, blackberry, brown spice, and star anise. The palate is robust and richly flavoured, showing concentrated damson fruit, juicy acidity, and a savoury mid-palate with gentle oak spice. The finish is fresh and sappy, supported by fine, integrated tannins.
