The name Baglio refers to the estate's original courtyard, once surrounded by warehouses used for grape collection and processing, a reminder of the ancient and largely unchanged winemaking traditions that define this corner of Sicily. Vines grow at altitudes of 300 to 600 metres on a mix of clay and volcanic soils, producing wines that combine authenticity, tradition and effortless drinkability. Frappato is one of Sicily's most characterful native varieties, producing lighter, fresher reds with real aromatic charm, and this is a textbook example of the style.

Vineyard & Production

Grapes are cultivated on sandy soils at 200 to 250 metres above sea level and harvested once the fruit reaches optimum phenolic and aromatic ripeness. Vinification follows traditional red maceration methods in stainless steel tanks under controlled temperatures, preserving freshness and fruit purity.
