Meet the producer

Boutinot France has grown from a small importer into one of the country’s leading producers, working hand-in-hand with growers across the Languedoc. Their philosophy is to champion traditional varieties and terroirs while crafting wines that are approachable, characterful, and true to their origins.

Production

This Grenache Noir comes from a 40-year-old parcel of vines in the south-western Languedoc, unusually cordon-trained in a region dominated by bush vines. The roots dig deep into sandy, silty soils, producing concentrated fruit fully ripened under the Mediterranean sun. After careful destemming, the grapes are macerated at cool temperatures and vinified without oak to preserve Grenache’s vibrant fruit purity.

Tasting notes

Expressive aromas of ripe black fruit and sweet spice lead to a palate loaded with juicy berry flavours, liquorice, and soft texture. Rich yet rounded, with no hard edges, this is Grenache at its most generous.
