London Dry Gin
London Dry Gin is a classic style of gin known for its crisp, juniper-forward flavour and dry finish. Despite the name, it doesn’t have to be made in London, but it must follow strict production rules: no artificial flavours, no added sugar after distillation, and all botanicals must be natural. The result is a clean, balanced spirit ideal for traditional gin and tonics or timeless cocktails like the Martini.

London Dry Gin is a style of gin defined not by its origin, but by its strict production method. Despite the name, it doesn’t have to be made in London—or even in the UK. To qualify as London Dry, a gin must: - Be made from a neutral spirit distilled to at least 96% ABV - Have all botanicals added during distillation (no flavouring after) - Use only natural botanicals—no artificial additives - Contain no more than 0.1g of sweetener per litre post-distillation The result is a crisp, juniper-forward gin with a clean, dry finish. Common botanicals include coriander seed, angelica root, and citrus peel, but juniper must always lead the flavour profile. It’s the benchmark style for classic cocktails like the Martini and Gin & Tonic, prized for its purity and balance.
