Vineyard & Production

The grapes for this wine came from 30-year-old Chenin Blanc vineyards around Stellenbosch. Careful canopy management ensures enough sunlight while protecting the grapes against direct sunlight. The grapes were hand-picked early, immediately crushed, and given extended skin contact for maximum flavour extraction. Only the free-run juice was used and fermented in old barrels to preserve terroir. The wine aged on the lees for 6 months before bottling.

Aromas of ripe stone fruit, citrus, and honey with subtle floral notes. The palate is textured and complex with flavours of peach, apple, and quince, balanced by fresh acidity and a mineral edge. The finish is long and elegant with a creamy texture from lees ageing.
