Tasting Notes

The nose is bold and expressive, with notes of fruit preserves, Christmas cake, treacle toffee, and dark chocolate truffles, with savoury touches of imperial stout and dried mushrooms. From the producer: butterscotch and honey lead the nose, with raisins and mocha in the background. On the palate, honey, marzipan, and bananas, with lashings of butterscotch, raisins, and a delicate hint of mocha. Intense spices persist over a long, warming finish. Best enjoyed neat or with a small drop of still water.
