Don Papa has just released this small batch 10 year old rum which has been made at their distillery in the Philippines. Aged for 10 years in re-charred barrels it is dark amber in colour with a rich powerful nose. Bold flavours of cacao and dried fruits and subtle wood notes. The rum's potent character draws from the Philippines' warm, humid climate, which yields one of the highest 'angel's share' percentages in the world during ageing. Traditional Filipino rum makers do not refill these casks, producing this dark, intense and concentrated rum.
