Frozen Watermelon Margarita
Ideal for summer garden parties, these frozen watermelon margaritas are the perfect summer drink, refreshing, sweet and boozy!
This recipe requires a little bit of preparation, however, still simple enough that even a novice cocktail maker can enjoy it. With the fresh watermelon going in the freezer overnight before you make the margarita, to ensure the drink is perfectly slushy and ice cold.
Ingredients
- Watermelon, cut into cubes and prepped in the freeze overnight
- Tequila
- Triple sec
- Limes, zested and juiced, plus a wedge for the rim
- Honey
Recipe
Add watermelon pieces into the freezer and freeze overnight until solid. The next day, combine the sea salt flakes, sugar and lime zest as a garnish for the rim of each glass.
Put the frozen watermelon, tequila, triple sec, lime juice and honey into a blender and blitz until smooth. Add lime to the rim and then dip in the garnish mix, and there you have a perfectly refreshing fruity summer cocktail!
