Some say this is a sweet rum, but it really is not as sweet as they say. It is layered with notes of slightly smoky and roasted coconut, vanilla pod, grapefruit and spices. The palate is also layered with a journey of tropical fruit, cherry chocolate, some tannins and an almond like finish before the PX Sherry comes through. Balanced and complex.

Hard to imagine a smoother aged rum 98/100 (beverage Tasting Institute, Chicago, USA). Its a sweet rum. Sweetness is typical of Guatemalan rums.
