Description
Description
Terres Fidèles L’Ombra de Queribus is an organic Côtes du Roussillon Villages from heroic mountain vineyards at the base of the cliffs near Queribus, crafted by Master of Wine Fergal Tynan. Founded to capture the essence of south-western France, Terres Fidèles focuses on small-batch, authentically made wines that reflect the remarkable landscapes, unique soils, and dedicated growers of the Roussillon region — from the Pyrénées foothills to the Mediterranean coast. Old-vine Grenache and Carignan from schist soils at 240–280m altitude, wild-fermented and unoaked, with a Coup de Coeur award to its name.
Why You'll Love It
This is certified organic Roussillon from Terres Fidèles, the project of Master of Wine Fergal Tynan, dedicated to crafting wines that authentically represent the wild vineyards and unique terroirs of south-western France. The grapes come from 40–80 year old bush vines on steep, rolling mountain sites at the base of cliffs on the northern edge of the Agly Valley near Queribus — true ‘heroic viticulture’ at 240–280m altitude on classic schist and grès (sandy) schist soils. Vines are cultivated organically at the natural limits of each location, unforced and wild. Grapes are hand-harvested slightly earlier than typical for the region to preserve freshness, then wild-fermented with minimal intervention and matured in small concrete vats with no oak, allowing the purity and terroir of Roussillon to shine through. Winner of the prestigious Coup de Coeur award. This is French organic red wine with power, elegance, and genuine mountain character.
