Production

Following hand-harvesting in mid-September, Corvina, Corvinone, and Rondinella grapes are laid out on drying racks until January. Fermentation occurs with extended skin contact and continual pumping over, followed by 24 months ageing in oak to develop depth, richness, and complexity.

Aromas of ripe black cherry and plum are complemented by dried fruit and toasty spice. The palate is plush and generous, with plum and bramble fruit, hints of vanilla and pepper, supple tannins, and balanced acidity leading to a harmonious finish.
