Champagne Pierre Mignon is a family-owned Champagne house based in Le Breuil, in the heart of the Marne Valley. With vineyards spanning the Marne Valley, Côte des Blancs, and Épernay, Pierre Mignon has built a reputation for producing vibrant, expressive Champagnes. The estate focuses on meticulous craftsmanship, from hand-harvesting the grapes to carefully controlled fermentations, ensuring that each bottle reflects the quality and character of the terroir.

Winemaking

All Champagnes are made in-house, with strict grape selection and gentle pressing. Juices are carefully settled, and fermentations rigorously monitored. Minimal filtration is used to preserve flavour, and Jean-Charles Mignon continues to innovate with wines such as the Vintage Prestige.

Tasting Note

This gastronomic Champagne from the 2015 vintage offers expressive aromatics of white peach, mirabelle plum, toasted almonds, and subtle dried fruit. Its persistent, delicate bubbles highlight its finesse, while buttery and brioche notes indicate complexity and development. Ready to drink now, it also has excellent ageing potential.

Viticulture

The vineyards cover 14 hectares across the Marne Valley, Côte des Blancs, and Épernay. Plantings are predominantly Pinot Meunier (55%), Pinot Noir (35%), and Chardonnay (10%). Grapes are hand-harvested, and the diversity of terroirs contributes to a high-quality, well-balanced blend.

Food Matching

Ideal as an aperitif or paired with roasted fillet of John Dory, lobster, turbot poached in butter, or smooth pâté with figs.
