A blended malt named in honor of Masataka Taketsuru, the father of Japanese whisky. He is the first Japanese who mastered whisky-making in Scotland and brought his expertise back to Japan. Pursuing his own ideal whisky, Masataka established Nikka in 1934. Its rich malty flavour, roundness and pleasant aftertaste are a fruit of Nikka's excellent blending as well as a long maturation period.

Today Nikka remains faithful to the father of Nikka's patient dedication to blending and passion for quality, distilling at a site chosen for its natural attributes. The secret of this superb whisky is craftsmanship complemented by nature's blessing.
