Rully is a white wine from the heart of the Côte Chalonnaise, where the local terroirs are especially suited to Chardonnay, thanks to their rich clay and limestone soils.
Production
After a gentle pressing, the wine undergoes vinification and is aged for 12 to 14 months in oak casks (demi-muids), with a moderate proportion of new oak. The cellars, dating back to the 15th century, provide optimal conditions for maturation, allowing the wine to develop complexity and depth while retaining freshness.
Tasting Notes
The wine shows a pale gold colour with delicate floral aromas of acacia, complemented by citrus and pale-fleshed fruit notes. A subtle mineral character adds precision and structure, leading to a well-balanced palate with a long and refreshing finish.
Food Match
Best enjoyed with charcuterie, poultry, or a selection of cheeses such as Comté or goat cheese.
