Vinos Más Buscados was founded by Fergal Tynan and Giles Cooke, both Masters of Wine, with the goal of uncovering Spain’s lesser-known winemaking regions, growers and traditions. Driven by Fergal’s focus on terroir and Giles’ instinct for flavour, they set out to find wines of exceptional quality that were largely unsung. The resulting range showcases Spain’s hidden vinous treasures, offering excellent value while celebrating the stories and heritage behind each wine.
Viticulture
The grapes are sourced from a combination of trellised and bush vines in the Manzanares district of La Mancha, a region renowned for its limestone soils. The majority of the grapes are harvested at night by machine to preserve their natural acidity and bright, vibrant fruit flavours.
Winemaking
Centelleo wines are made entirely from free-run juice and fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. The wines are then matured on fine lees until bottling, which enhances freshness and aromatic intensity, producing a lively, expressive style that stands out at this price point.
Tasting Note
The wine has a lemon-yellow colour and presents floral notes on the nose, complemented by citrus and grapefruit flavours. The Moscatel adds a hint of honey, and the palate is balanced with refreshing acidity.
