Pazo de Mirasoles Albariño is a medium-bodied, mineral-driven white wine from La Mancha, Spain, made from 100% Albariño. Certified biodynamic, it offers fresh citrus and tropical fruit aromas with a balanced, lively palate.
Meet the producer
Bodegas Parra Jiménez, established in 1993 by the Parra brothers, pioneered organic viticulture in La Mancha and later adopted biodynamic farming. The estate follows a closed, sustainable ecosystem, integrating crops, livestock, and vineyard management. Today, under Pablo Parra, the winery focuses on minimal intervention winemaking and biodynamic practices.
Production
Grapes are grown at high altitudes above 800 m to preserve acidity and freshness. Harvested biodynamically, the fruit undergoes fermentation with ambient yeasts in inert stainless-steel tanks. No oak is used, ensuring the wine retains the purity of the Albariño grape.
Tasting notes
Pale straw with green highlights, the nose shows citrus, tropical fruit, and wildflower aromas. The palate is soft yet vibrant, featuring apple, lemon, and melon flavours, finishing fresh, harmonious, and delicately textured.
Food match
Pairs perfectly with seafood such as crayfish, prawns, and shellfish, as well as soft cheeses like Manchego.
