Nyetimber Tillington Single Vineyard is an elegant English sparkling wine crafted exclusively from estate-grown Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Sourced from the south-facing Tillington vineyard in the heart of the South Downs National Park, the shallow, well-drained greensand soils impart a distinctive minerality and refinement. Grapes are hand-harvested and fermented in stainless steel before ageing for 48 months on lees using the traditional method, producing a wine of remarkable complexity and finesse.

Founded in 1988, Nyetimber is a pioneering English sparkling wine estate, renowned for producing wines exclusively from Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Meunier. Owner Eric Heerema and Head Winemaker Cherie Spriggs are committed to estate-grown, Grande Marque quality wines that reflect the unique terroir of Sussex.

Production

The Tillington vineyard is carefully managed to optimise sunlight capture and ripeness. Grapes are hand-picked, parcel by parcel, and fermented in stainless steel before extended lees ageing for 48 months. This meticulous approach ensures depth, texture, and complexity in the finished wine.

Tasting notes

Light gold in colour, with aromas of wild strawberry, white blossom, pastry, and praline. The palate is generous yet refined, showing ripe red apple and apricot, complemented by hints of fresh citrus and complex almond characters. The finish is long, nuanced, and elegant.
