Meet the Producer

On the outskirts of the village of Cuers, Château Gairoird is a 45-hectare certified organic estate rooted in the traditions of Provence. Owned by the Duffort family, the domaine cultivates Grenache, Cinsault, Rolle, Syrah, Mourvèdre and the rare Tibouren. Its reputation is built on respecting the land, crafting wines that embody the purity and elegance of the Côtes de Provence.

Production

The estate’s limestone-clay soils, known locally as gravoches, provide the perfect terroir for classic Provence rosé. Grapes are harvested at night to preserve freshness, then gently pressed to create a delicate rosé de presse. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at cool temperatures for 2–3 weeks, before resting on fine lees until bottling in January. The blend includes Grenache, Cinsault, Syrah and small proportions of other Provençal varieties to enhance complexity.

A shimmering pale rose-gold in the glass. The nose reveals pretty herbal notes with delicate red fruits, leading to a palate that is fresh, vinous and elegant. Crisp acidity gives lift, while a flavoursome, lingering finish adds depth. A classy and vibrant expression of Provence rosé.
