Citrus Irish Whiskey Punch

Ingredients
  • 300 ml Irish whiskey
  • 300 ml strong black tea
  • 120 ml fresh orange juice
  • 120 ml fresh lemon juice
  • Seven dashes of Angostura Bitters
  • 1½ teaspoons grated nutmeg
  • Lemon and orange wheels (for serving)
Method Combine whiskey, orange juice, tea, lemon juice, Angostura bitters, and 1½ tsp of nutmeg in a pitcher or large bowl, then cover and chill for at least three hours. Strain into a punch bowl and add plenty of lemon and orange wheels and four cups of ice. Serve punch in cups.

Method Combine 60 ml rye or bourbon whiskey, 30 ml fresh lemon juice, and 30 ml simple syrup in a cocktail shaker. Fill with ice, cover and shake until the outside feels cold. Strain into a rocks glass filled with ice. Gently top up with fruity red wine (such as Shiraz or Malbec) over the back of a spoon so that the wine floats on top.

  • 45 ml Aperol
  • 45 ml Bourbon
  • Soda water
  • One orange wheel
