Description
Cantina di Negrar’s Appassimento Rosso is a deeply textured, full-bodied red wine bursting with rich plum and ripe red cherry flavors. Made using the traditional appassimento method, it offers concentrated aromas and a smooth, luxurious mouthfeel. Layers of warming spice and subtle vanilla add complexity, while soft, well-rounded tannins create a perfectly balanced finish. This is a bold and expressive Italian red that delivers both richness and elegance.
Producer: Cantina Valpolicella Negrar Located just a few kilometers from Verona, in the heart of the Valpolicella region, Cantina Valpolicella Negrar is a historic cooperative winery with 230 grower-members and 770 hectares of vineyards. As one of the leading producers in the area, they are responsible for nearly a quarter of all Valpolicella Classico vineyard land—and uniquely, they are the only winery to own vineyards across all five communes of the Valpolicella Classico zone.
With a rich winemaking heritage dating back to 1933, the winery has played a pioneering role in the region’s history. In fact, they were the first to produce Amarone in 1936, the result of a happy accident while making Recioto. Today, Cantina Valpolicella Negrar continues to blend tradition with innovation, crafting exceptional wines that showcase the unique character of Valpolicella’s terroir.
