Meet the Producer

Azienda Agricola Cortese is an organic estate in Vittoria, south-eastern Sicily, committed to producing wines that reflect the terroir and the natural character of the grapes. The winery combines traditional Sicilian practices with careful, minimal-intervention winemaking to craft wines that are authentic, expressive, and sustainably produced.

Production

The Inzolia and Zibibbo grapes are hand-harvested and fermented on their skins at controlled temperatures of 17–19 °C. Inzolia undergoes a maceration of 2–3 weeks, while Zibibbo is macerated for six weeks, with gentle daily punch-downs during the early phase of fermentation. Once fermentation is complete, the wines are blended and left on fine lees for approximately three months before bottling, enhancing texture and complexity.

Tasting Notes

The wine shows a luminous orange colour and aromas of fresh citrus, tropical fruits, and delicate floral notes. On the palate, it is fruity, crisp, and well-balanced, with a subtle tannic texture from skin contact and a refreshing, slightly off-dry finish.
