The Glencadam Reserva de Porto was distilled in 2004 and matured initially in ex-bourbon American oak casks before being finished in port pipe casks sourced from Porto, Portugal. The port pipe casks perfectly complement Glencadam Single Malt adding depth and complexity to the whisky.
The nose of this single malt is rich and festive with aromas of cooked fruits and sweet spices mingled with strawberry tarts, boiled sweets and gingerbread. The palate is host to layers of bramble and poached pears followed by black cherry, oat biscuits and chocolate ganache cushioned with oak spices.
