  • Bernheim Original Wheat Whiskey 45% 70cl
Bernheim Original Straight Wheat Whiskey uses a minimum 51% wheat in its recipe as the primary grain. It is not a "wheated Bourbon" like Heaven Hill's Old Fitzgerald Straight Bourbon, which is a type of Bourbon that substitutes wheat for the rye in the mashbill.

Bernheim Wheat Whiskey was distilled in January of 2000 at the Bernheim Distillery, and has been aging in our open rick warehouses in Nelson County since. Master Distillers Parker and Craig Beam have been anxiously monitoring the whiskey's maturation, and believe that the whiskey has aged beautifully and is ready to be bottled.

Interesting mash bill of 51% soft winter wheat, 39% corn and 10% barley malt, gives a gentle personality with a touch of sweetness and vanilla. The taste picks up with some spice, fruit and oak coming through. It gathers pace with the oak to the fore and then finishes with a touch of honey and cereal sweetness.

  • Jim Beam Devil's Cut Bourbon 45% 70cl
As bourbon ages, a portion of the liquid is lost from the barrel due to evaporationthat's the "Angel's Share." After aging, when the bourbon is dumped out of the barrel, a certain amount of whiskey is left trapped within the wood of every barrel.
We call that the "devil's cut."
To create Jim Beam Devil's Cut, an extraordinary new bourbon experience, we developed a proprietary process that actually pulls the rich whiskey trapped inside the barrels' wood after they're emptied. We hold this barrel-treated extract until it develops the proper balance of bourbon notes, then blend it with 6 year old bourbon and bottle at 90 proof. The result: a robust, premium bourbon with deep color, aroma and character.
A distinctly bold bourbon with rich flavor unleashed from deep inside the barrel wood.

Rich with a spicy character from the rye it is complex and full-bodied, but not too sweet.
Jim Murray's Whisky Bible, 2010 edition 92.5 Rating
"Big, weighty - rye with attitude.. In a heard of 30 random bourbons, this one would stand out by nose alone. The taste is puckering and mouthwatering, the rye go ballistic, especially on the spice front. With salivation levels on full blast, it is sometimes hard to pick out the more delicate custard cream and apple nuances. The oak finish kicks in at the death with a shot of liquorice and coffee. But the rye refuses to be downbeaten. A shade heavier than when I first tasted this one with the oak showing a burlier attitude. However, the unique rye fizz ensures a delightful and by no means understated degree of charm. Fabulously different and wholly adorable"

  • Basil Haydens Bourbon 40% 70cl
Basil Haydens differs to the rest of the bourbons in the samll batch range in that its mash bill contains a higher percentage of rye grain. The richness of the corn is complemeneted by spicy notes from the rye, with notes of peppermint, and a slight citrus edge. First created in 1796 by Master distiller Basil Hayden snr, when he broke the rules by adding small grains to the traditional corn base.

In 1796, Master Distiller Basil Hayden Sr. broke 'the rules' by mixing small grains into the mash of a traditional corn base. A Maryland transplant unafraid to stand out amidst the residing establishment, Basil conjectured that the spicy flavor of rye would be a striking complement to the sweet smoothness of corn in his distillery's standard bourbon. And much to the chagrin of the traditionalist set, Basil was right. His recipe was a masterpiece, resulting in a unique, singular small batch bourbon whiskey that was blessed with rich hints of peppermint, notes of pepper, slight citrus overtones, and a spicy, warming finish.

  • Buffalo Trace 40% 70cl
Buffalo Trace Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey is a piece of liquid history: a premium, hand-crafted bourbon blended from selected whiskeys at one of America's oldest distilleries.

In times before history migrating herds of buffalo carved a path, or trace, through the wilderness of North America and up to the banks of the Kentucky River. During the 18th century pioneers followed their trail, known as The Great Buffalo Trace, and established a settlement in what today is Franklin County. By 1775 they were harvesting American grain, blending it with limestone spring water and distilling whiskey: by 1812, Harrison Blanton was distilling on the site where Buffalo Trace is made today.

  • Four Roses Small Batch 2015 Release Limited Edition 54.3% 70cl

Four Roses 2015 Release is a limited edition and highly collectible bourbon that is composed of hand selected bourbons for blending by the now ex-master distiller Jim Rutledge. This whiskey has won some major accolades, including being named American Whiskey of the Year by Whiskey Advocate back-to-back in 2012 and 2013.

The 2015 Limited Edition Small Batch release is extra special as it marks the retirement of Rutledge. The title “Master Distiller” couldn’t be more apt as Rutledge has had a 49 year career in the spirits industry and is credited of being an influential force behind the revival of the Four Roses band around the turn of the millennium.

One of the interesting things about Four Roses is its ingredient transparency. The distillery’s unique, four-character system tells you exactly what’s in a whiskey’s original grain bill and which of the five proprietary yeast strains was used to ferment the mash. This year’s Limited Edition Small Batch is a blend of four spirits; OBSK -16 years, OESK -15 years, OESK- 14 years and OBSV 11 years. You can learn more about what these codes mean at the Four Roses Distillery website here.
