  • Bernheim Original Wheat Whiskey 45% 70cl
Bernheim Original Straight Wheat Whiskey uses a minimum 51% wheat in its recipe as the primary grain. It is not a "wheated Bourbon" like Heaven Hill's Old Fitzgerald Straight Bourbon, which is a type of Bourbon that substitutes wheat for the rye in the mashbill.

Bernheim Wheat Whiskey was distilled in January of 2000 at the Bernheim Distillery, and has been aging in our open rick warehouses in Nelson County since. Master Distillers Parker and Craig Beam have been anxiously monitoring the whiskey's maturation, and believe that the whiskey has aged beautifully and is ready to be bottled.

Interesting mash bill of 51% soft winter wheat, 39% corn and 10% barley malt, gives a gentle personality with a touch of sweetness and vanilla. The taste picks up with some spice, fruit and oak coming through. It gathers pace with the oak to the fore and then finishes with a touch of honey and cereal sweetness.

Evan Williams Black Label, 86 proof, was a Silver Medalist at the recent San Francisco World Spirits Competition, defeating brands costing four or five times its price. It is a national and internationally known Bourbon, with distribution in select markets in Europe, Asia and the Pacific Rim.

Light golden colour. A big nose with lots of oak, vanilla and a touch of marmalade. Crisp entry on the palate with spicy oak and a light grainy touch. Develops well with more oak coming through, a little mint and apple and then finishing with a rich slightly rustic note and a kick from the spirit.

  • Georgia Moon Peach 35% 70cl
The forerunner and kissing cousin to Bourbon, American Straight Corn Whiskey is defined by the US Government as having a recipe or mashbill with a minimum of 81% corn, the rest being malted barley and rye. Today, Heaven Hill is the sole remaining national producer of this uniquely American Whiskey style, bottling such classic names as Georgia Moon, Mellow Corn, Dixie Dew and J.W. Corn. As world-renowned whiskey writer Jim Murray wrote, "If you are a true student of whiskey, your education is a long way from being complete until you have mastered this particularly charming form."
Georgia Moon is clear, and upon twisting off the cap is a potent tang of sour liquor, followed by the smell of sweet corn. On the palate, it starts sour and unsavory, but oily and silky soft with the smallest of bites.

The whisky has a medium-weight, velvety textured body and a dry, robust palate, one that quickly fills the mouth with the engaging flavors of roasted corn, caramel, toffee and oak.
    Nose: Peaches, vanilla, raisins, butterscotch
Taste: An elegant combination of flavors, a very thick body, almost syrupy sweetness, suggesting vanilla and caramel, yet very fruity with hints of dates, blackberry and orange.
Finish: The finish is long, warm and smooth like a fine cognac.

  • Balcones Babyblue Corn Whisky 46% 75cl
This unique corn whisky is made from roasted Atole, a hopi blue corn meal, which has been used by the Hopi for thousands of years in many ceremonies, representing wisdom and understanding, and the strength that comes through overcoming hardship. We use this rich and nutty corn whisky tradition.

Baby blue isnt bourbon nor is it white lightning. It has the freshness and verve of traditional corn whisky but with a refined complexity added by brief aging in oak. The result is a round nuttiness and roasty overtones with a smooth finish.

Baby blue - a fresh and young yet complex and elegant corn whisky.

  • Jim Beam Devil's Cut Bourbon 45% 70cl
As bourbon ages, a portion of the liquid is lost from the barrel due to evaporationthat's the "Angel's Share." After aging, when the bourbon is dumped out of the barrel, a certain amount of whiskey is left trapped within the wood of every barrel.
We call that the "devil's cut."
To create Jim Beam Devil's Cut, an extraordinary new bourbon experience, we developed a proprietary process that actually pulls the rich whiskey trapped inside the barrels' wood after they're emptied. We hold this barrel-treated extract until it develops the proper balance of bourbon notes, then blend it with 6 year old bourbon and bottle at 90 proof. The result: a robust, premium bourbon with deep color, aroma and character.
A distinctly bold bourbon with rich flavor unleashed from deep inside the barrel wood.
The TasteFull bodied with intense oak and vanilla notes. The FinishLong, smooth, with a hint of sweetness.

  • High West Double Rye 46% 75cl
In 2007 Dave Perkins decided to build the worlds first ski-in distillery at his saloon in Park City, Utah. Whilst waiting for his own spirit to mature he has blended two exotic straight rye whiskies; a rich aromatic 16yo (80% rye, 10% corn & 10% malted barley) rye with the bold spicy properties of 6yo (95% rye & 5% malted barley) to create a full flavoured, very complex whiskey.
Marriage of two straight rye whiskies that combines the feisty properties of a high rye 2-year-old and the saddle smooth richness of a 16-year-old. The 2-year-old has a 95% rye 5% barley malt mashbill. The older rye has a "barely legal" rye mashbill of 53% rye and 37% corn. The extra age and corn provides some extra sweetness to calm the "bite" of the younger rye for a relationship that works.
90 Points Another Winner By High West
A blend of two straight whiskeys: a very young 2 year old high rye content whiskey and a 16 year old rye whiskey with a lower rye content. Perhaps the spiciest American whiskey I have ever tasted, yet at the same time, quite tame and mellow. Complex notes
of mint, clove, cinnamon, licorice root, pine nuts, and dark chocolate, with a surprising dose of gin botanicals throughout. A soft underbelly of caramel, sweet corn, and soothing vanilla provides an interesting counterpoint. Very easy-drinking, too (hard to
believe its 46%). Intriguing, and a must-try for rye whiskey aficionados even if onlyto satisfy your curiosity.

    John Hansell, Malt Advocate Magazine
92 Points (Exceptional) Light amber color. Exotic aromas of wintermint, sweet pickle, pistachio praline, anise, and pink peppercorns with a rich, chewy fruity-yet-dry full body and a gentle finish suggesting mint green tea and five spice. Fascinating. Beverage Testing Institute
    97 Points
This is absolutely the finest rye (and perhaps the finest spirit) I have ever tasted.

  • High West Campfire Whiskey 46% 75cl
High West Campfire was born when Dave Perkins and his wife woke up one morning at the Bruichalddich B&B on Isaly and smelled peat in the air. This borned the idea for a CampFire combining the sweet vanilla flavours of bourbon whiskey and Rye whisky with a peated scotch whisky. Sweet, spicy and a good dollop of peat smoke.

  • EH Taylor Straight Rye Whiskey 50% 75cl
While most rye whiskeys are made with corn as an ingredient, this is a unique rye whiskey made only with rye and malted barley. This spicy and full-bodied 100 proof Straight Rye Whiskey pays tribute to the classic American whiskey style and the Bottled in Bond Act of 1897. Colonel Edmund Haynes Taylor, Jr. was instrumental in passing this act that safeguarded consumers from bogus bourbons being sold in the industry. With its passage, drinkers could trust that a bottle labeled Bottled in Bond was genuine crafted whiskey. The label required that a bottle contained only barrels distilled by a single distillery, in a single season, stored in a bonded warehouse for four years before bottling, and bottled at 100 proof. This bourbon follows these regulations and is worthy of the quality of its namesake.

On the nose, this whiskey is full of dried fruit, black pepper and a touch of fresh dill. A small sip brings an array of flavors both sweet and savory with a terrific balance of dark spices and subtle caramel overtones. The finish is especially pleasing with an oaky dryness that lingers just long enough.

Rich with a spicy character from the rye it is complex and full-bodied, but not too sweet.
Jim Murray's Whisky Bible, 2010 edition 92.5 Rating
"Big, weighty - rye with attitude.. In a heard of 30 random bourbons, this one would stand out by nose alone. The taste is puckering and mouthwatering, the rye go ballistic, especially on the spice front. With salivation levels on full blast, it is sometimes hard to pick out the more delicate custard cream and apple nuances. The oak finish kicks in at the death with a shot of liquorice and coffee. But the rye refuses to be downbeaten. A shade heavier than when I first tasted this one with the oak showing a burlier attitude. However, the unique rye fizz ensures a delightful and by no means understated degree of charm. Fabulously different and wholly adorable"

  • Basil Haydens Bourbon 40% 70cl
Basil Haydens differs to the rest of the bourbons in the samll batch range in that its mash bill contains a higher percentage of rye grain. The richness of the corn is complemeneted by spicy notes from the rye, with notes of peppermint, and a slight citrus edge. First created in 1796 by Master distiller Basil Hayden snr, when he broke the rules by adding small grains to the traditional corn base.

In 1796, Master Distiller Basil Hayden Sr. broke 'the rules' by mixing small grains into the mash of a traditional corn base. A Maryland transplant unafraid to stand out amidst the residing establishment, Basil conjectured that the spicy flavor of rye would be a striking complement to the sweet smoothness of corn in his distillery's standard bourbon. And much to the chagrin of the traditionalist set, Basil was right. His recipe was a masterpiece, resulting in a unique, singular small batch bourbon whiskey that was blessed with rich hints of peppermint, notes of pepper, slight citrus overtones, and a spicy, warming finish.
