According to Bernard Walsh, who has hand-picked these casks, this is a new expression of Irish Whiskey that we experimented with in 08/09 with a limited release of 1400 bottles. The reaction was such that we are now committed to releasing a few hand-picked casks every year, each delivering their own unique taste.
Furthermore this rare whiskey has already been judged in the USA (by the Beverage Tasting Institute) to be worthy of the Gold medal this year.
Matured for between 12 and 18 years and bottled in January 2010 at a strength of 53% abv, each bottle is individually numbered and presented in an elegant wooden box with a signed and numbered certificate.
