Description
Sourced exclusively from Tupungato in Argentina’s Uco Valley, this Malbec is grown on deep sandy soils with a limestone seam, bringing freshness and minerality to the wine. A whisper of oak adds subtle complexity. The wine takes its name from the “Durmientes” (railway sleepers) that line the vineyard – a nod to its grounded, earthy character.
Tasting Notes A classic Uco Valley Malbec, offering exceptional value and terroir-driven complexity. Expect a graphite and floral nose, leading into a structured palate layered with minerality, iron-rich notes, and fine tannins. Bold yet elegant – a serious wine for serious food.
Food Pairing Suggestions Perfect with a ribeye steak, gourmet cheeseburgers, or grilled vegetables like peppers topped with goat cheese. A versatile red that shines alongside hearty, protein-rich dishes.
