Producer Marilyn Lasserre – Trailblazer in Languedoc Winemaking Marilyn Lasserre is a true pioneer in the French wine industry. Since returning to France in 2008, she has played a pivotal role in revitalizing the wines of the Languedoc region. With her refined, feminine approach, Marilyn has transformed traditionally bold, rustic wines into elegant, high-quality expressions. Through meticulous vineyard selection and expert winemaking techniques, she has elevated both the taste and reputation of Languedoc wines. A graduate in Viticulture and Oenology from Bordeaux, Marilyn has gained invaluable experience across renowned wine regions around the globe. Her work is beautifully showcased in Les Argelières, a collection that pays tribute to the unique terroir of the Pays d’Oc. Characterized by pebble- and limestone-rich soils and ideal sun exposure, this terroir enhances the aromatic expression of the wines. Whites are bright and mineral-driven, while reds burst with vibrant fruit flavors. With over 2,600 years of winemaking heritage, the Pays d’Oc is a historic and thriving region. Its Mediterranean climate—marked by warm mists—and the cooling influence of the Black Mountain create a diverse landscape of limestone and clay soils, perfect for producing distinctive and expressive wines.
