If you like a Chateauneuf-du-Pape, you will most likely enjoy Gigondas wines as they are remarkably similar and Guigal makes this principally from Grenache with Mourvedre and Syrah in smaller quantities to give the wine more back-bone, tannin and ageing potential. The wine is matured for two years in large oak foudres.
