This Craigellachie has been aged for 12 years in a virgin oak barrel producing a whisky that has a burnt amber presence. Aromas of concentrated vanilla, caramel, digestive biscuits and butter. The palate is warming with classic Craigellachie chunkiness. The virgin oak influence is strong giving honey, sweet butterscotch and almond praline over a bed of spice (nutmeg and a little pepper).
